Once, we got from West Virginia to Monroe (which is the county south of Wayne, which Detroit is in, which is below my county, in which I am one of the southern-most places) on one tank of gas... in a high-top conversion van. If it's a singular tank of gas, then it's not that far. Besides, it's just a little more time from me to you as it is from me to my aunt in the Upper Peninsula... so it's all good.
Eeeew, 8 hours? So I guess it's not THAT close, but closer than some other people. But I guess if I really think about it, 8 hours is pretty good, considering it takes 6 hours to get to my grandmother's house who lives in the same state.
Detroit to D.C. is 527 miles, or eight and a half hours. Give and take, I figure it evens out pretty well. (I pulled the number out of nowhere when I wrote it though.)

But putting that aside, I really did enjoy reading this. You told your past self some important things, as well as fun things too! Us all stealing the TARDIS is a great idea, haha.
