I outlined the Nuzlocke rules I'll be following in the description of the cover page. They are the rules not programmed into the actual game and what make this a challenge instead of a normal playthrough.

You should play pokemon at least once. There are a lot of online emulators for the old games too, so you don't even have to buy it.

I can't use it because of the Nuzlocke challenge. In a normal playthrough, you can use whatever you want.

Pokemon Crystal was the first game to actually let you play as a girl, so yeah. The first thing the game does is have Prof. Oak ask what gender you are X3

I've never played the game before! Does it really start off with "Are You a Male or Female?"
