it's just the first episode that was subbed.. and their names are different too.. they're not charmander, bulbasur and squirtle.. XD i guess those are their english names after all and i got no choice but to watch the english if i want to relate it to the games.. XD
yeah it's a long series.... i just reached the latest episode of detective conan which is currently 580 episodes and it took me almost 5 months to get there.. pokemon is almost 700... not to mention there's lots of movies as well.. XD but yeh.. if we start now, we can catch up.. by christmas or next year.. XD

Yeah I thought it was different! I'm pretty sure the guy's name was Ash not Satoshi because I had watched a couple of episodes on cartoon network ^^
