[High Resolution is very nice, yesss?]

My entry for Wakusei Aoshi's Design the Character! Contest.

Meet my little Nymph! <3 She is nameless. Feel free to throw out some nick-names for her xD

As for the Challenge, we had to design a character meeting these criteria...

1.) Heterochromia: (It's kind of hard to tell, but) She has one green eye and one brown eye. I liked the idea of her eyes reflecting earthly colors :)

2.) Wings: I took in your idea of fake wings and decided on this; My Nymph wanders the forests night and day, and when she finds a lone feather or wing she collects them to make her own pair of wings! She can't fly, but it makes her feel cool. xD

3.) Horns: I didn't want to give her devilish horns, it just wouldn't fit, y'know? Instead I gave her ram's horns to give her a slightly innocent look. Plus, I was doing some research (after I sketched this) and it turns out the mythological god Pan of the forest has ram-like horns. I just thought that was kinda cool. .3.

4.) Crescent Moon: Beside her left eye is a crescent moon tattoo. You can let your imagination run free on that one ;D Is it makeup? Is it some kind of nymph-clan tattoo? Is it a birthmark? THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW!

"A mysterious, yet colourful and silly character with a slight dark aura to them"

This part was really hard. Though these qualities aren't polar opposites or anything, they're not usually related to each other.

The mysterious quality is just her as a person. What is she, and why is she naked in a forest? She has such long hair and moss growing from her horns, so how old is she? Why does she make a pair of wings out of feathers she finds on the forest floor? Is she jealous of other mythical beings with wings? These are the questions that haunted me as I drew her. So I think she's pretty mysterious ;D

The colorful quality is in her wings. Though she has dark hair and dark eyes, the colors of the vibrant wings and feathers on her back really stand out.

This can also apply to her silliness. Who would walk around with feathers and butterfly wings attached to their shoulders? Obviously a silly person. Plus, she has a smile on her face as she plays with the water in front of her~

And finally, her slight darkness is showed by her setting. Despite the light casted around her, she's still shrouded in a lot of darkness. And as I mentioned before, she has very dark, earthy eyes, big eyebrows and thick raven hair. Her eyes are slightly lidded, implying she's thinking deeply.

Haha I feel like I just wrote an essay for some kind of art evaluation/analyzation course. xD
