She's smiling because even though she's sad, she's happy to have the time with whoever that guy may be. Sorta like Book 6 or 7 (i forget which) with the Ichigo/Kish thing. 'cept her position is that of Kish's. But her personality's not like him!! DEFINITELY NOTT!!
