i hope you appreciate this man, cuz im stickin up for ya. i love the detail, its very good. i think the squisht face was a scanner problem, and the "lines where it darker" (robin) is actually just a style of shading used by many artists. it brings originality and noticability to the art. awesome job :) but next time make all the line go in the same direction

well, i think the lines are a little distracting... and ed's face looks kinda stretched sideways... but other than that, i think it look positively awesome! *thumbs up*

I like it, very nice line work. I believe it would be an awsome looking pick if all the shadowing was done with the line look, the closer the lines the darker the shadow. The coloring isn't bad at all, the only think i would say is the lines distract the colors and show some imbalance, along with the shadows; I do not fully see a true lightsource on ed. His shadows appear to only be where the folds are and none a fully bigger or darker than the rest. His skin and gloves also show no particular shadow or highlights in color. To give it depth (though i'm naming parisma color colors there are probably simualr colors in other brands) try colors such as deco orange, burnt ochre, terra cotta and dark unber for the darkest shadows. there are usually three shades to shadows, highlight, regular and dark shadow ( and depending on your light source and how bright or dense it is there could even be a darker shadow. I sometimes have to use 7-10 different colors on one thing just to get the right shadow tone.)I would also recommend the colorless blender, it blends the colors you use to make it smooth and bright. It is very useful and can be bought at simple craft stores. It does have potential, I just believe the right shadowing techniqe could make it even greater. But again that is just me and my experience. *gets off soapbox* Very well done for a first try! Keep it up! *woot woot* ^^ Middy
