he definately possesses characteristics from both parents, the flush in the cheeks, general paleness of skin, red but black shaggy hair. It's hard to see what he's holding onto. Could it be the antennae on the ship's roof to emphasize his shortness? But then again it is the future and surely they've done away with antannaes by then. Anyway, I love the ice wave in the background!
