The Black Soldier AU is a version of the story where Jarod lives and becomes a Daein soldier, perhaps born out of me voicing random Daein halberdiers as him. Whether this title refers to various general stories of this kind or a particular one, I'm not sure. But the Jarod Brooding picture is tagged this way, too.
It's an idea that's been around for awhile. If you want to see the older stuff, just ask.
