That makes sense, i was using an anatomy book for reference, but it doesn't have much detail about drawing kids. It didn't occur to me to look up videos though!
Yeah, children have different head/body proportions than adults. I remember seeing a tutorial that said something about eye placement too. If the eyes are a little further down on the characters face, the character looks younger. There might be other YouTube tutorials out there on how to draw children.
