Oh BTW, not for criticizing but Eggplant in italian it's "melanzana" (singular) Melanzane (plural) which it's also the color of his costume
and I've never heard the word moulignane in italian or as a slang, but maybe it's because it's a dialect, here in italy there's hundreds of different dialects so it could totally be! just to let you know!
