Oh gosh I'm so sorry for the late reply, but I lost this comments along all the others O_o Uhmm suggestions.. I don't know, have you ever watched the anime Death parade? I start watching it and it seems promising (and It's so difficult for me to find good stuff to watch because i'm super picky!) what about a character from it? if it doesn't convince you, just chibified whoever you like! I enjoy a lot your art no matter who the subject is ! the most important thing is to have fun doing it! :3

I was in the same boat as you are right now. I know how you feel. The brushes i use still require creativity to make it work and wont look right if used improperly. I say give it try, it wouldn't hurt. I honeatly have to say it not a crutch in designing artwork more like time saver. Hope that explains things

So you made that background with just brushes? I've always been hesitant to use brushes for fear of relying too heavily on them. Still, this picture makes me want to play with them a little bit.
