Awesome illustration. You should definitely do more portraits in the future. Just remember to do other poses/styles so that portraits doesn't become chore-like, or worse, "comfort-zoned". As for the art block thing, I just doodle or try to improve on my technique. I know it's more convenient to doodle digitally, but it can be done traditionally. I've got piles of lined notebooks of random sketches and scratches. When I doodle, it's just random junk (so many that aren't published).

Hope that helps, keep up the good work.

I love this. You can tell by looking at it that you really care about the charater. Your feelings really show in this piece and that makes it something special. The colors are beautiful and honestly I'm a little envious. When I use color it never turns out this nice =p lol you did very well sweetie you should be proud ^^

this came out very good! I'm happy that you had fun doing it (which is the most important thing when you draw, to have fun) and you have all the rights to be proud about it! you should totally continue to do more portraits of the character you love, it would be good practice to get better with faces details/anatomy too!

the only tip I would like to give you (more of an personal opinion that a real criticism) is to use different colors for the background to make the character pop more, since Judai has already a lot of red goin on using a red background makes him blend with it, and it stands out less. then again if you like a monochromatic theme for your drawings go for it! and have fun!
