    Lol, thanks X3 I enjoy trees and plants, but I don't have much of a green thumb. XD But it's nice to be able to draw them and gain some insight from observing them =3

    I work with plants day in and day out. I cannot find the discipline to do plant matter drawings well let alone paint! I love the work!

    It doesn't really care if it's a common picture, (Besides flowers are always used a lot as a subject for art) Your version it's nice and very well done.

    You're welcome, hopefully that works out for you. If not, there's usually a tutorial for what you want to learn somewhere, one's bound to make things easier for you =)

    This is beautiful ! the dark background makes the colors of the flower stand out even more, and I love the different tones of green blended on the leaves

    @Llewyn:

    Well, everyone's got their own techniques for learning art. I'm kinda a technical person so if I know how a thing works, it's a bit easier to draw it. However, I painted it with a kit and this is more or less the image they show you to paint. I added several buds and a couple flowers, though, to make it seem fuller.

    I think a coworker said Hawaiian hibiscus yup. I'm not sure what technique would work best for you, but I would suggest closely looking at images of what you want to draw (or the real thing if you can manage) and observe it well. Like where does it begin? where does it bend? how do these things branch off? how many petals? Stuff like that.

    But that sounds way too technical when I say it out loud =^^;=

    in the three years of my stay at theO
    I don't think I improved, especially when I stopped for ~~~~a long time.
