if you were to ask me i thing the background is better the way it is because it puts kakashi in focus. I would have done the same background.

This is just wonderful!!!! I can see Kakashi being a first love! he is just flat out awesome (: the coloring is wonderful and i love the two verison

Cool pic! Don't worry about the background. I would have shied away from something like that. The light coming through the trees is really great. I also like that you can tell what Kakashi is feeling, even with his face covered up.

Speaking of which, there was this official one-shot manga in which his face was revealed in the last panel or something. I haven't read it, but I saw the picture on Anime News Network.
