Lol! I did the same thing a long time ago. I made some soot sprites out of fuzzy (super fuzzy) pompoms and googly eyes. I couldn't find any of the candy that looked like the type from the film either. You gave 'em away as a gift? Nice. You and your hubby are nerds. Sweet nerds. Super cute! XD

I tried to make some soot sprites one time, but I sort of cheated as all I did was buy a bunch of black pom-poms and glue googly eyes on them XD I gave them to my husband with a packet of RainbowDrops because it was the only thing I could think of that looked like the food they eat XD
