On the bright side, my best guy friend and I are gonna go see "Big Hero 6" since he wanted to cheer me up and I can't go with all of my friends like I originally planned.

I don't think that feeling bad about canceling your party makes you selfish. It was something you were looking forward to, so it's only natural to feel let down.
