Read a bit of one piece or watch some of the anime or one of the movies. It's actually rather creative. If your going to watch a move from this series watch either one piece:strong world or one piece:film z in that order if you can as for anime movie standards(I say this cause aside from studo ghibli movies what other anime movies can you say with a straight face are good without nostalgia goggles) and heck good by non anime movie standards as well and is one of my favorite movies of all time. Strong world and film z both but I find film z to be a bit less in terms of overall feel but in terms of raw moment to moment epicness film z has strong world beat but strong world also has the bonus of being the only one piece movie to be canonical as stated by oda that move was canon to the story.
I can only imagine what would happen if one piece manages to cross over with soul eater concerning sanji, Blair, and brook. There will be blood in the streets I feel.
