Thanks! I find its usually in the pen. I go over board it seems with dark inked pens but the one i used was really light so it worked

I really like your consistent cross hatching, it remains soft and heavy where it needs to be. Awesome!
I often get too carried away doing pen cross-hatching, and mess something up.
