I think... the book probably leans towards not your style, plus it's one of the lesser-known series that I fangirl over.

Really nice job here! :) This drawing portrays the quote from the book perfectly. The quote's actually pretty intriguing... I'd look into reading the book, but it seems it's just been spoiled for me. xD
I think you did a great job with the open chest, by the way--drawing male torsos is pretty difficult, I say! Plus, it takes some degree of guts just to go and draw shirtless dudes. :V
I also really like the way you drew the hair. It looks really soft. *u*
