That is the same with me. I might draw one head of Link or Pelleas or something, but that's it...I want to do more Fire Emblem fanart. I want to be that person who does Fire Emblem fanart....XD
I use Krita which is like photoshop except free, so it has a lot of small problems (lots of lagging, crashing, etc. and I can't really do most of the stuff that I can do in photoshop). I used to use SAI until my computer...crashed in a very strange way...But I used basically the same technique. SAI is kind of like working with watercolours. You have to be gentle with it, because the brushes themselves are gentle. You have to work with the brushes to get a certain kind of thickness and darkness. The brush strokes aren't as pretty in Krita as it is in SAI. Also with SAI the brush strokes have a softened edge, so when I use the eyedrop technique I usually eyedrop the ends of the brush stroke. Don't use the blurring tool. It's harder to control.

Yeppp....I think you've improved a lot this year. I feel like this art summary doesn't quite show it 'cause you have to look at the whole picture instead of just a section to notice the wide improvement.
Goshh...fanart...XD Same thing for me. It's SO HARD! ;3; I dunno why that is anyways...>3> Perspective is also hard. Soft shadinggg.....that I could help with...except that I can't since I can't exactly explain anything with SAI except that you use it sorta like Photoshop....?
