    Cool! I didn't even know white charcoal existed xP I have black ones at home actually. I'm studying biology and I once had to dissect a grasshopper, it was interesting but it was one of the creatures that had really messy innards. You couldn't see clear organs. it has an open circulatory system and stuff :)

    Anyways! It reminds me that I should try out more mediums :3

    It was difficult at first. Mainly I started off with the wheat (wasn't as interesting) so I went to the grasshopper. The grasshopper was much more satisfying. I then later added the white charcoal to it to give the gloss effect. First time I've ever used white charcoal too. (^_^)

    The original picture was around 5 by 9 inches, or something around there. We had to redraw it on larger paper (about 16X25) or somewhere around there. :D

    Interesting coloring and hues. It's very detailed though! How big is the original piece? ^^
