I thought it was a very creative way to get the look you wanted. I kinda went through the same thought process of 'well he probably would want to have his forehead covered since that's a vital organ, but it looks so much cooler and adds more movement with the hair' so we'll go with the crack XD

haha! Totally just realized I wrote "say the gun" instead of see the gun, but glad you understood my meaning. Yeah, on the few art pieces I did I was always running out of room for usually the most important parts -_-

I'm sure everyone on this site would be enriched by another chance to see this handsome man XD

hehe the one time I do something that's not fanart it's a ... hunk? xD I looked for a natural way of having his hair exposed, but that would mean he would expose his head and apparently he needs this hardcore protection armor, so a crack in the helmet became my less than legit opportunity to draw what I wanted. (>7>)
It's the backside of drawing on a4 - I tend to draw big to fit more details, so I'm unused to making full figures on the whole paper so his weapon got cut out... maybe it's worth a revisit in le future.

I love the hair :3 And how it kinda protrudes out of the crack in his helmet. And, of course, awesome armor.
I kinda wish we could say more of the gun(?) though.
