Yeah its fun, except I tried to do a study of dog anatomy today and I almost fell asleep xD KK is doing much better then me on her study of lions!! We aren't taking any classes, but just trying to motivate each other xD

I know, I was trying to get really colourful but I didn't know what I was doin and was forced to stick with purply shading since nothing else looked good =_= I actually coloured it with colour first... a base layer with multiply and overlay layers for effects overtop (a new discovery! xD). I changed it to B&W afterward on picmonkey.com while playing around with effects xD
I've never tried it O_O It does sound difficult tho! I hav heard of some shading techniques done over a black and white base which sound cool :D

I'm glad now that I posted it too! Thanku! I always get nervous about posting new techniques I try, for some odd reason xD I'm glad that u enjoyed this puppy tho, it encourages me to try again!

Like how you showed us the colored version and the black and white one too. You did a good job on this one, because Judah looks cute ! I also think your older chibi sketches are awesome because they all look playful and colorful :) The older ones were simple but very nice and this one is very detailed, which is good too! Overall your chibi drawings are great

It's very cute! I really love the detail in the fur, especially Judah's head and paws. Hmm well I definitely like the B&W one a lot. The other one has really bright colors - how did you color it? but using a layer on top of the B&W?
In my experience drawing first a B&W piccy digitally and then trying to color it is extremely difficult. I always get too bright colors - or just not the color I want.
