It's good that it's challenging for you, because if it weren't, then it wouldn't be fun to progress and get better. Which I hope you do! (Get better, that is.)

Painting is harder for me since it is nothing like drawing, I do enjoy it in ways. It's like I can draw a human face, but I can't paint one so well. For painting for me I feel that abstract and mixing colors would be good for me. I had to paint my cat different colors which turn out pretty good, which should be up soon. The problem with painting is if you make a mistake you can only paint over it, but with oils you can whip it away since oil paints take a week to dry. I mean I do enjoy painting it's a new challenge for me. :)

That happens to me, too. Even just doing a doodle helps me to not forget a drawing technique.

Is painting harder than drawing, given the fact that you can't just erase a mistake?

thank you for the comment ♥, I did hit a roadblock and also the fact that I've been taking a painting class it kinda made my drawing a bit rusty. Since I painted so freely with the brush. I feel like I am improving with my skills. And yes it is always seeing people improve over time. :)

Nice! It's cool to see artists doing practice sketches once in a while, to show how they progress and grow better. It helps others grow too, being able to see how artists overcome drawing roadblocks.
