This is just beautiful. :,D I love the simplicity in the piece in the scenery, the outfit, and the rippling water. There's something about the detailed curly hairstyle that I like, too; usually for these kinds of pictures I'd expect to see long flowing hair, but the bounciness of the curly hair makes the artwork much more lighthearted and innocent. Fantastic job. :)
I just saw this today and was like "THIS is AMAZING!!" Everything about this is not only super beautiful, but has a calming effect. I kinda feel bad you didn't win second place... it's just so amazing.

I've been in love with drawing curls for a while now lol and I just love curly hair anyways XD I have it, but the longer mine gets, the more loose they become. Eventually, it just gets so loose that they just look wavy :(

Wahh, how pretty! Love the positioning and the color choice here. I love your curls so much! Those are pretty much impossible for me to draw XD Personally, I find dreamscapes make the best pictures :)
