The brushy-ness looks nice since it looks intentional. If it was half crisp and defined and half brushy, then it might look half-assed, but as it stands it looks very nice.
The design is really neat and the pose is so nonchalant. I especially like the knifes and the way they're being held. Also, the brushy-ness of the coloring.
