Well he tries to be a good father. He never had one growing up, nor a mom, who killed herself. He doesn't want Hiro to feel alone like that at all. He wants him to have a normal, happy, and rich childhood. He want Hiro to know a parent's warmth and love and to have the trust of always being there for his child.
