I am quite persuasive, haha. I guess much music can be seen as an extension of classical styles, but I've noticed that much metal for quite some time since it's evolution throughout the 80's long resembled and even mimicked many classical composers (Yngwie Malmsteen is a notable one). And as for Metallica, I have to say that anything James Hetfield and Cliff Burton composed on bass is very idiosyncratic to classical musicians, what with twin harmonies and almost always playing in the key of E minor haha. (Call of Ktulu anyone?) I'm glad you think so of my picture :)
I've never really watched that series, so I can't really say much about the character's motives and influences. However, I'll take your word, since you do provide convincing comments! (I too agree that metal as a whole can be seen as a distant logical extension of classical music as a whole. The bombast of Wager can still be heard in the structures of of a song like Metallica's "To Live Is To Die".) Very cool picture!
