Well, you do adjustments with the smoothing, brush opacity, hardness, density, min size, edge shape and such. I use the brush tool with 0% min size, 100% Density, 100 Persistance and 0 Color Blending and Opacity Mix. On Advanced, the Quality is 4 (best) with 100 Hardness, 100% max density and 100 hard<->soft. You can also adjust the smoothness. I usually pick around S-1 to S-7 depending on how smooth I want the lines to be. :>
And with the lasso thing, well, it'll always be rigged. There's not trick for it to be smooth, sadly. xD

Anyways, I have one question? How do you select in Sai? I mean straight lines. I know that there is something like brush thing for that, but if I am already using something like that I will just go with the real brush in the first place.
And there is that lasso thing like in GIMP and Photoshop, just that here when I hold ctrl, it won't do straight lines..
But other than my boring questions, I have to say that this looks pretty good. Very cute right there, they sure seem like a nice couple here. :)
