That's what I've been planning on...but I haven't gotten around to it yet...strangely I've actually had stuff going on this week! O_o Which is really weird for me in the summer.
You did a fairly good job on the colouring mate; far better than you think. If you want to get better than I think you should take your own advice and just sit down and work at colouring things. Simple little pictures so you don't get fed up to quickly.
Anyway- the picture is really pretty mate. I do happen to like the purple and the tan colours togeather; they match quite nicely! And I like her ankle-bracelet and shoes. They are both very simple yet elegant and I think that matchs the idea of 'Hime' wonderfuly. I also really LOVE how you coloured her skin; the way the diffrent tones blend is amazing.
You do a bang up job colouring already mate; but I LOVE how you want to improve. Don't give up just yet mate! I love your style and I think if you keep trying you are going to MASTER your craft!

Oh! Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it! I guess since I'm surrounded by so many friends that know how to use colors well, that I look from their work to mine and see the difference in skill...hehehe....I know I should be happy with what I can do but it's hard sometimes.

Yeah...I gave up. It's more of the skin that I'm trying to figure out. I know about bouncing colors....I just kept trying to fix the skin because it kept bugging me....that's when I gave up. I didn't even do all the details in the background that I wanted to do because the skin bugged me so much.
I think what your color problem was was you didn't bounce colors- like if she's surrounded by blues and greens, they would tint her clothes.
-probably use warms and cools with highlights and shadows... ;/ they both help the pic feel more unified as a whole.. does that make sense jess? if not i can go over it when you come over :3
