Your using of textures and brushes are fine. Just, if you ask my advice, generally, more modern brushes(like city or urban)are looked more beautiful. And they will attract more member.
As for the guy, you should work on cheek and neck. And adding eyes will be fine. But, I have to say, your tablet skills are better than me
