Yeah, his death in the anime surprised me XP and in the manga he denied Light at the end, claiming he wasn't "God" anymore. They left that out of the anime too.
Yeah, Mikami was a little crazy, but his death in the anime was weird. :/ I don't remember it exactly, but I think it looked like he slit his wrist with the handcuffs or something. He didn't die in the manga so when I saw the anime I was like, "What the heck happened? How'd he die?"
Anyway, I think the drawing looks nice, and that was a neat idea to use purple.
