For Kuro, shiro, aka, ao (you know it as aoi), and kiiro, you can add "i" at the end to make it an adjective instead of a noun. You can't do that with colors like midori and murasaki for some reason, as well as with english-derived colors like pinku and orenji. (It's just how the language developed. xD)

...most of those ended with 'i's that I didn't know ended with 'i's...I thought it was just Kuro and Shiro for Black and White and Aka is just Aka for red...but I'm not the one taking the Japanese class...XD
