I never heard the alternative (the color thing)...i've been using pen tool (stylus to be exact) to ink it...sigh...

Well it is. I mean, you can just line tool to indicate what you want to ink. Then you can either do colorize, put the capacity to the lowest, making pitch black color and viola. Or you can use pen tool and do it with old fashion way.

Digital inking shouldn't be that hard. I mean, I have done pitch black painting, so I guess it is similar. Just try to practice, it comes alone over the time.^^

It is pretty good and yeah, you can find on various places many motivation for stuff like this. Hm, but just keep practicing. I haven't even tried inking yet, so you are one huge step in front of me with that.^^
