and yes, thank u for the idea.. normal mannequin for fashion design are usually faceless but my teachers are sometimes picky and will probably ask for a face.. my solution was to cover it with a hat or some kind of accessory.. lol.. XD

But it also could be classified as anime because of the large eyes and huge mouths ^^ I think I could call this style "Sunday-cartoon" x3
Oh and also, cartoons wouldn't have that much shading in clothes and stuff, just a base color and maybe a light shade on basic areas ^^
Edit: ooh and for the fashion design, I agree with the person below...just do a simple design like this and have body parts be a single monochrome color and just design the clothes on the person and color that only...like a mannequin!
at first this reminded me of Ginta's cousin with purple hair (from Marmalade Boy) xD ... but it's a girl *^^*
Anyway ~~ the style reminds me a little of pokemon or something (must be because of the cap ) . It doesn't look anime like but i don't really know in which category to group it >o< .
Portofolios need many things and it's so much stress when you try something and can't get it right
You could try doing fashion design and make the faces randomly ~~ just some lines for the eyes and maybe a hairstyle.
Speed is important but it's no fun being too speedy TT^TT i always like to draw slowly Zzzz
