I do know how you feel about modeling,it's so hard to mantain quality (*Hugs).
Still I know the more fields you know about the more you can grow.I use a lot modeling to backup my artworks,making a 3-D background turns to be easier.Lol lectures are not veyr helpful ,I can imagine you beeing the best ilustrator of your school with no effort :3 .
I love drawing but I also love modeling,if I had to decide I think I wouldn't be able :3.
(maybe I have more talent at modeling)

3d class.... it's more like a self-study.. he'll show us how he models and thats about it.. most of us learn thru tutorials rather than the lecture if there was a lecture... dont even want to talk about 3d.. im sick of that too... XD
i just want to draw.... =/ i'll be hired to draw concepts not to model so i could care less about modeling.. really.. >x<" im just doing modeling for marks.. >_>
