The figure and background would seem like two seperate pieces if they weren't feeding off of each other's energy so awesomely.
Seperately: The figure against a white background would be very creepy and unsettling indeed, which isn't a bad thing. The less creepy eye is somewhat serene because it's not an intense stare and the colors background colors relax it further.

It's like some weird juxtoposition of: O___O and >_____>;. I see that because the figure's looking away sheepishly (even though one would expect creepishness, not timidness) while the eye is making direct eye contact with the viewer.

So, like I was saying abouit togetherness :D They go togther just because of their odd oppositeness.

I like it :3

Haha, yup! :) The books are by Lynn Flewelling. So far there's 5 in the series. I'm on book 3. <33 Also, if you're wondering, they do have BL in them. XD Cause the two main characters are guys that do end up falling in love. I was like FINALLY when they kissed. XD It took almost the full of the first two books.

It's so creepy and strange and scary...but nothing you should scrap. XD Wow. It's good though. It reminds me of a...well, in the books I've been reading (the Nightrunner series), there are things (that are bad) called drymagnos...or something. I don't remember the spelling. XD But they were necromancers that used so much of their powers they basically became undead. Living undead, blackened skin, skeleton-like, but with living eyes. I think that's what you got here! Lol!

You know, last night...I have a dream of Enma Ai actually eating me alive and she started it from my back side. Seeing this fan art makes me remember the dream.
(My point of view) This is so...bizarre but also mystifying. So different and...it's just too mystery.
But I really liked it. (I guess that what's ghost story and history did to a person.)
And I have a strong feeling that I'm going to dream about Enma again...
