Hm... I'm not really sure if I would be able to explain it properly... much of it was dumb luck and trial and error. I had to layer a few colors to get the pants to look tan, and they still look grey in the pic XD lol But to start out with I always lay down a light base color and go over it with the primary color. Like for the gold part I colored lightly with regular yellow, then went over it with gold color. As far as shading goes, I attempted a cel-shade type using darker colors. X3

Yup, yup, but you have to be REALLY good at them...O.O Well, actually, I've seen some other artists colouring with other kinds of markers and it looked like they did it on the computer...But it's probably because they usually did digital and they coloured traditional in the same kind of style they did with digital....

You use Corel Painter...that's what it was made for...But it's really expensive...TT^TT And some people use different textures and stuff to try and give it that kind of look...

I think the closest you could get to a digital look with traditional would be Copics, from what I've seen.

I haven't quite figured out the trick to achieving traditional appearance with digital, tho...

Yeahhh...so it's kinda hard to compare...But then we want a traditional look while using CG and a CG look with traditional...and it's really hard for them to emulate eachother...'orz

Control is more difficult with digital, but the plus side is that you have the undo button. Technology makes it as though your mistakes never existed! XD Whereas on paper, you can only use so much white-out/eraser. =/
