Yes the petals in the tree did take a while to draw and color. But it was also a lot of fun to do. I like the movement in it, too... I love her hair also, I think it's awesome. (lol I'm commenting on my own work) XD
I can definitely see how watching Howl's moving Castle would help!!
I absolutely love the scenery!! It's so awesome and flows well with Miku's pose. I WISH I had the patience to put this kinda effort every one of my drawings ><

I like the motion (or like feeling of motion) in this piece. It really does seem like she's dancing with the cherry blossoms. Also, the background is pretty dang awesome! You must have had alot of patience to draw all those petals on the tree.
