as for some tips,
you should check up color palettes for skin,
sometimes you have to switch to a different color for shading depending on the skin color you're trying to get~
for example~

I usually color Caucasian skin with yellow or a light peach color first and then going to a slightly dull red orange color, so that the shade shows!o w o
