Yup! I draw the outline on 1, color on 2, shade lightly on 3, shade darker on 4, and so on. I used the color in between the shades to make them blend, but I sometimes use the blur or smear tool.

So you used different layers for each colour? And how did you managed to diffuse and soften the colour tones? I mean, the lighter blue and the darker one blend perfectly well.

That's cause I re-colored it. When I didn't like the blue, I used bucket to cover it with another blue. I always shade my pictures with the darker shade of the same color. If it's light blue, I use a blue. If it's white. I use gray as you can see.

Yes, I used bucket when I messed up on the shade of the blue areas. The only downside about that is that the edges aren't colored as well by hand.

Yeah, drawing on computers do require patience(^_^;)and time. Can't forget time. If it's so irritating to color, you could always use the bucket. I use it often^^

Ahhh I see... I only have Photoshop, but I'm soooo sux with it! DX I've so far coloured only one artwork, it's hard to meh, and I have zero patience.

I'm not sure, 'cause I've never used photoshop, but I know it's amazing. I've seen so many pictures drawn on photoshop, and they were like, WOW.

Okay, you've got a point there...Well, I use a software called Pixia. I believe it's made in Japan...

Aww, you're over exaggerating (*^.^*) It isn't much, really. It doesn't even have a background! Anyways, I'm not a great teacher, but I can give advice when needed^^ Always glad to help out.
