hmm.. it's either ur laptop has different version and not supported by photoshop..? not sure but something like that happened to me coz vista is not so compatible with maya.. something about the graphics card.. maybe try changing the display to 16bit if ur using 32bit graphics.. go to desktop then properties.. display properties and find the graphics display.. XD
Hands are so hard I can’t see how some manga artists master them XD… I seen a hand poser about 2 years ago, I wanted to buy it sooo bad since I needed all the help I can get (and still do). I didn’t have the money at the time once I did I didn’t even see them anywhere, I was so disappointed! XD
I didn’t know you drew straight on; it was hard for me to make skeletons when I drew straight on too. It still is doing the more advance kinds of skeletons like making the boxes and circles. I usually draw lines and small circles for joints for the skeleton and fill everything out as I draw. I was afraid that it going to take up more time and would be a waste of time but after I got used to it, it proved really helpful! I would think way didn’t I started using them earlier XD… I say do what you’re comfortable with and take your time. I’ve been doing the same skeleton since middle school; I’m just going farther with them. XD
I a really stubborn artist too so I know where your coming from! I really want to improve so I have to push myself to change old habits. I think repetition is best for artist like us. We got to keep doing it and doing until it’s installed into our brains. XD
I love both of them really useful and great for warm up drawings and practice. I’m glad you like them!
Your welcome! I like to give a helping hand when I can and I’m trying to cut down on my rather repetitive comments. XD
thank you..~~<3 i like how her expression turned out too and i totally agree with u in most of what u said.. XD hand is still my weakness.. i rarely get it right.. but surely, practice can fix that problem.. indeed, it was a hard position and angle.. i dont know why im not using skeletons.. i just draw straight on.. v_v" and even if it seems the fastest and most effective way to get proportions right, i dont bother using that technique.. i am stubborn like that.. XD and probably coz i dont use the eraser that much so having excess lines will make it very sketchy.. i could erase but im lazy..... lol.. i prefer to do things the fast way.. estimating everything is how i do my stuff.. sigh.. i do wish i can learn the other way.. v_v" but even if i try, it'll automatically revert to my old way.. i looked at the sites u gave, they seem to be very useful and helpful in the future.. thanks very much..~~ and thank u for taking ur time to write such a thoughtful comment.. i really appreciate it.. <3

She’s a lovely character! I notice the change in style. It reminds me of the old school animes or maybe a shojo manga? I really like her face; it looks so sweet and innocent. The hair looks really good as well. I like the many strains of the bangs and the wavy locks of hair. The two ribbons really bring out the cuteness in her.
I love the hand since hands can be such a pain in the neck. So when I see a really well drawn one I can only appreciate it haha! As far as the perspective I understand completely where you coming from. A low angle perspective is can be really tough if you don’t draw it often. And I think I know what kind of pose you were trying to do. I would try to fish out and explain it but I’m not completely sure if I’m right so I won’t haha. But the head should be smaller and kind of in the distance and her bottom half should be bigger and almost coming at you. The arm in the picture looks big but I see in the shoulders that you have the right idea so far. I can see under the girl’s sailor shirt tail and the perspective of it haha, I’m not sure what that part of the shirt is called. The rest of the body looks like it’s in a different perspective all together.
When it comes to drawing at different angles its best to practice how to draw them first like making the skeleton and the basic shapes of the body. Knowing why and how so the body looks in different angles is really key to making them easier to draw! So I say look for good tutorials on the matter and get a simple artist anatomy book. Just sketching and drawing the pictures really does help you figure the body out. I did it the other day while looking at other resources, it really help a lot in my common anatomy problems I had.
I know two great resources that are really useful for you and any artist! This site is called pose maniacs, its great for perspective poses as well as anatomy drawing in general! This tutorial is really good for posing characters as well to make that skeleton and base of the body.
I still love the picture and you’re on the right track with the perspective. It all takes some practice! :D
I hope this helps and I wasn’t too chatty or anything -__-0. I recently found myself wanting to do different poses and perspectives. The tips I gave you is exactly what I did with some pretty good results. Keep experimenting and practicing, I can’t wait to see what you make next! :D
I always get mixed emotions at large forehead chars with short forehead cover.I have a big forehead and I kinda like it but it's hard to find a nice hair style to fit it :3.
