You've created a very serene picture that soothes even my being. Very nice. I could go for a cup of jasmine right now...

The detail and shading are very lovely. I can notice a few mistakes, but I see people have already pointed them out so no use in beating a dead horse, eh?
I always find drawing what I see to be the hardest for me. The leaves look very nice. It's refreshing to see something like this on here.

aaaaah i hate to mention this since everyone else has, but the rim of your cup is too large. >.< that would work if the perspective was more over the cup than on the side. there's also the design on the rim, but designs are almost impossible to recreate if they're difficult, so don't worry about it. Also, leaves normally have a smooth surface, not a feathery one. the leaf on the cup is really good thou! sorry if that sounded harsh, but you really did do a good job! :3 i can't draw still life very well at all!!! >.<

haha, isnt how that happens. It looks fine til you stare at it long enough. I do it all the time.

Its a eraser that you can knead into any shape needed...so you can have a really tiny point or a big thick eraser

Wonderful picture! I love the teacup and leaves, but there is one thing that bothers me. The dimensions of the cup are off, and so are the designs around the brim.
It appears to me that you're using that 'smudging' technique, which, in my opinion, flattens and dulls the image. I would've liked to have seen brighter whites though, which probably would've made the picture seem more dynamic.

Great job though, keep up the smashing work

Yes people keep bringing that up, it was most likely a mistake that I cannot fix. I think the image looks like, well...crap up close but from farther away it seems better? But that is just me.

The top of the cup looks a little strange to me. I mean, not the shading or anything, but the way it's angled. Like, it almost looks like you were sitting above the cup, but then it doesn't fit with the rest of the shape. I don't know if that makes any sense? Unless, the cup just had a really round brim? I like all the detail in the leaves though and the leafs shadow. That was a very nice detail I took notice to

I do not know what a kneed able eraser is. I have barely started to draw and am still learning new techniques and trying to grasp my own style.

Oh no. What went wrong? If possible I would love to see your work so I can tell you how to improve. Although I am not such a great artist and barely started drawing, I can tell you what I have seen in others work and what my teacher has told me. ;)

with a look of my naked eye id have to say the cup is not actually round...it looks flat..i think i mentioned it before with the pear thing?if you want to shade round things ..you have to shade them in the same angle as the lets say in this drawing the top of the cup..the round part..gaawwh why dont u speak my language i would explain this better..lol...i think maybe its the ornament thing to fault...it shouldnt have been in one line...

i like the smooth shades...what kind of pencils did u use for this drawing?

the leaves...my teacher would call this..naivism(im pretty sure its not the right name for this)..couse u try to draw out the little details other than seeing the ..the..emm...texture..!

I really like the creativity here, its a good idea.
I understand the eraser thing, I have a hard time with it cause I always draw too dark on the paper.
One thing you might be able to try is blend the shadow into the shine a little with a kneadable eraser, it might help.

I love the angle you got it at, though I do think the opening on the teacup is a bit off from the rest of the picture, but other than that great job!

nice idea and shading in general, the only thing i'd point out is that:
the light source is to the top-ish right, so i think you made the edges of the leaves that faces that direction a bit too dark. i mean, you're aiming for realism here i think, so.. usually there wouldnt be that solid outline that you have there in the leaves.. i realize how hard it is to draw leaves, so i'm not 100% sure howelse to make the leaves more..er.. real lol
maybe fade out parts of the edge that's facing the light?
you did a great job with the side of the cup that's towards the light =3

im not much of a critiquer but i think it looks great i really like the details it the cup... =)
