That's saaddd D.: It's also one of the few things that irk me about this place LOL Don't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER take the less-comments-than-your-chibis as an insult to this style, don't ever let that make you think any less of this style! I find this place just tends to favor more mainstream styles of drawing. Draw in an awesome popular anime-style, or draw a character/scene from a popular anime/manga/vidja game and people will flock all over it. That doesn't mean that style is inferior, it just means that your chibi style is more "mainstream"

This is art though :3 I find this is gorgeous, this isn't typical senseless anime, this is YOU. Just judging by your comments and what I've seen on this journal, this style is pure you. Whether you realize it or not while drawing, this just reflects who you are and you can see every aspect of your personality in this style and that makes it something very special. I prefer it over your chibis, and I know one person out of lord knows how many on this website won't make much of a difference BUT I VOTE THAT YOU POST MOAR PICS IN THIS STYLE :D

You'll develop more with this style too. Chibis ARE awesome and you're like the queen of drawing chibis lol but :D This style is millions more expressive and gives you the opportunity to fly with your art, you can do so much because you have such an incredible gift, your art is absolutely amazing girl <3

Oh wow, it's been a while since I've gotten positive feedback about this style. I don't post it up much on TheO because nobody seems to like it that much. They say it's cool, but it doesn't get the same raves as my chibis ya know what I mean? Thanks for those words, they inspired me as well to keep doing what I'm doing, because I was about to give up on them. <3333

Stylish XD It really is though, I love that you don't just draw typical conventional anime, your style is very very distinct and stylistic, I love it and believe it or not it's inspired me quite a bit :3

I certainly believe that dreadlocks need to be worn more often..i love them ^^ a lot of guys in Jamaica wear dreadlocks, maybe thts why i have an unhealthy obsession with them XD

That's the exact opposite of what happens to me! I have very little patience for shading with pencils because I don't know what I'm doing half the time. Sometimes I get so frustrated with erasing that I just draw in pen and then for some reason it comes out better sometimes o__o Not always, but just sometimes

Yes it is nice to add some of your own character to what you are looking at. It's something I like to do as well. Like in my Sakura picture.

I think the colors you choose are very captivating. You have a great eye for that. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Yeah I tried adding a lot so that you wouldn't get bored with it too quickly. That's also one of the reasons I added so much color to the fish, I had the real reference of them, but I don't know, for some reason I like to add something else to the animals, so I just make them different colors. I think it makes it much more interesting to look at.

I'm the exact opposite with you. I can't use pencils for shading. I just draw lines and get super lazy shading everything in. I like watercolors because it expresses what I want to do, but very easily.

Dude, giant squid scare me too! They are so freaky, I would scream if I saw one in real life, like if it just slapped itself on the deck or something, omg that would be torture. You know what else is scary? Octopus! I hate things with tentacles and I actually don't like a lot of fish either. Once, I was at my rich grandmother's house and she had this lake in her backyard and a catfish leaped out of the water and for some reason it really terrified me

My favorite part of this picture would have to be that clown fish! It is just so expressive and bright. My eyes can't help but be drawn towards it. I like how you put a background in your image. It keeps my eyes peeled and not bored! Yay! Not like your pictures are boring but...some of these arts on this site without bg's....is...you know. ha ha ha.

This is amazing watercolor! I really love how you handle your brush strokes! I am more of a pencil person so when I try to use a brush I tend to be more rough. I suppose my mind has a trouble recognizing that it is a different tool, :p

The man with the dreads looks so serious. He brings the calm to the image.
