haha yeah I have problems with some of my other pieces having previously drawn lines still being visible. It's probably the type of pencil I use since I just grabbed a random wooden one and stuck with it. I seriously erase about 100 times xD
Yep. The piece I referenced was very detailed. I feel like I only got about half of it in there. It amazed me how well the shading was done with pen.
haha You know the eye very well could be off. I always have problems drawing things that aren't 'head on' so it's possible the eye is a little farther down or the pupil's not quite were it should be. Or maybe the whole jaw's off. It should look like it's eyeing you from one side with just a glimpse of the other. All well *shrugs* Something else to work on.

Like I said in my original comments, I drew this while looking at an awesome dragon calendar so it is in no way my own idea or artisticness coming through, just whatever I managed to capture from the original picture itself. I'm what you might call a second-rate-artist because I can only copy, not make anything original . . . but I must admit, I was inordinately pleased with myself LOL

Oh my goodness, you're not that bad of an artist yourself, Silver! haha~ this is absolutely stunning!!<33 The detail you put into this pic is incredible >.< I don't understand how people can draw dragons and fantasy creatures SO well...it's almost an impossibility for me xDD
Well to start~ I already mentioned how much I love the detail! I really love how your lines are so clean as well~ it's just a little bit sketchy and that adds your own unique style to it! You did excellently with the angle of the body and of the face~ I don't see anything wrong with the proportions(assuming you intentionally made the head slightly large). You did an excellent job with the shading although I think you could have added a tad bit more contrast with the gradation. Otherwise, this is absolutely wonderful! Keep up the wonderful work Silver~ I'll be watching out for your art as well! =)
Awww thanks! You're right, it does look kinda dinosaurish. Hmmm never thought about it before. Hopefully I'll be able to post more pictures soon(if I ever get my homework done ).
Hey! You'd better like it after all the work it took to upload it. I played around with painter yesterday and I found out I could erase the stationery things and the pencil smudges!!!! It's kinda slow going because my finger keeps slipping and I'll run an eraser through my entire picture
I couldn't find a very high chair to jump off, so I guess I have to like it. ah,the memories. who knew it would take so much trouble to get this picture posted...
