You're right, it does look like the light source. Actually, I was just putting in a background and I like doing circles (Zen circles?) - but I looked at it again and I'm all like....dude, she was right!
I may or may not enter the pencil challenge.....thank you for letting me know about it.
Since the lightsource is behind her, the highlights on the side toward us look a little strange. Moving them closer to the outline would help, I think.
Also! Since you like pencils, have you entered anything in the pencil challenge that's going on right now?
