Yes it does work quite well in Tim Burton's movies, but I didn't really think it worked for this artwork at all.
It was merely a suggestion. The piece is still very strong.

doesnt matter about anatomy at times - think about "a nightmare before christmas" - i liked the long torso here - suits it
Her torso seems a little long. I also think that her waist is kind of small, even for a petite girl.
I do love her crown though, mini hats are always a plus.
