YEAH, BUT... while commas are used for pauses, you can't have a sentance like this: "Today, I, went, to, the, mall, with, my, friends." because that's not the proper use of the comma. AND WHILE YOUR OPINION OF HOW TO USE THE COMMA MAY NOT CHANGE, MA'AM, I still care to inform you that you can't just stick a comma anywhere in a sentance just because you want to pause in the middle. :D

ACTUALLY ACTUALLY, if you're speaking in Japanese, that's what a comma does. IF YOU'RE SPEAKING IN ENGLISH HOWEVER, there are certain RULES for when you need to use commas. FOR EXAMPLE:
You could say "Apples, oranges, and bananas" really fast, but you still need the commas. In your case, the comma was used to end a clause. Or something.
