I really like the contrast of red and black, and it fits the theme of the drawing well too.
Cool signature, btw! ..Hehe, I know, sometimes I got a little too much into details.
Anyway, great job, especially because it's your first time shading. Keep practicing and you'll become a great artist! You have potential. ^__^
