XD This is an interesting looking phoenix. And I like phoenixes, too, actually.
I do like the glittery stuff behind the phoenix, though. And the background, as well. It makes it look as if the phoenix is flying at high speed. XP

It's very special. I think it's mostly because the pose and the expression :3

Yessh you left the sparkles! *bounce bounce* I also like that you added two birds in the background - it adds a lot to the background - usually people just draw clouds, but you also added birds *yay* :D Nice clouds as well! I can see you put a lot of effort in them :3 I like the phoenix's wings and the head a lot - especially those three curly feathers and I like the eye a lot X3 And great work on the wings and shading on the wings!
